Privacy Policy for Mandala Day

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Mandala Day (“the app”) is a meditation and mindfulness application published by the Mandala Day team. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is stored, and what rights you have.

Summary

Information the app handles

Stored only on your device

The following information is saved locally on your device using the operating system’s standard secure storage. It stays on your device and is not uploaded to us (see “Analytics” below for the limited anonymous events the app does send):

You can remove all of this data at any time by uninstalling the app or by using your device’s “Clear app data” option.

Notifications

With your permission, the app schedules local reminders for your meditation sessions. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. Mandala Day does not operate notification servers and does not send push notifications from the internet.

Audio playback

The app plays bundled meditation audio files. Audio is played locally; nothing is streamed from our servers, and no audio from your device (voice, microphone) is recorded or transmitted. The app explicitly blocks microphone access.

Background activity

To keep your meditation audio playing when the screen is off, and to deliver on-time reminders, the app uses standard Android and iOS background-audio and scheduled-notification capabilities. No data is sent off the device as part of this activity.

Analytics

Both the web and mobile versions of Mandala Day use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand overall, anonymous usage so we can improve the app.

What is sent: when you start, complete, or end a session early — or complete onboarding — the app sends an event to Google Analytics describing the action, the meditation’s title and practice type, and the session length. The app generates a random identifier, stored on your device, so that repeat usage can be counted without knowing who you are. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any account. Google may also derive an approximate geographic region (typically country or city level) from the network address used to send these events.

What is not sent: your name, email, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, audio, or the contents of your schedule. The app does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites.

On the web, Google Analytics additionally records standard anonymous traffic information such as which pages are viewed and the browser type. You can opt out in a browser using any standard “Do Not Track” or analytics-blocking setting or extension.

Information the app does not collect

Mandala Day does not:

Children’s privacy

Mandala Day is appropriate for general audiences and does not knowingly collect information from children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it does not collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions).

Your rights

Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in direct control of it:

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws, the rights described above satisfy the typical access and deletion rights under those laws for the limited on-device data the app stores.

Security

Data is stored using the standard secure storage APIs provided by iOS (Keychain-backed UserDefaults) and Android (internal app storage). Aside from the anonymous usage events sent to Google Analytics, no data is transmitted off your device, and we do not operate servers that store your information.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be noted in the app release notes.
